Nawid's Trailblazing Journey in Aid of Afghan Widows and Children
In March 2022, Nawid Cina, Vice President of Mahboba’s Promise, led a humanitarian mission into Afghanistan just months after the regime change. During his trip, Nawid was able to witness the continuation of critical work carried out by Mahboba’s Promise. He was also able to assess where the most urgent development gaps lie and provide targeted medical and educational support for many of the children in our care.
In a remarkable act of courage, Nawid led the mission that secured an unprecedented number of visas. His trip demonstrated the commitment that we continue to have towards Afghanistan, and his courage in leading the mission demonstrated the love and care that we hold for each of these children.
