Each year millions of Afghans are left to endure some of the harshest winter conditions imaginable. Through your donations, you have the power to provide hope and warmth to those suffering below the poverty line in Afghanistan.
With temperatures dropping below -10 degrees Celsius, millions are left to face these conditions without adequate clothing and winter supplies to survive. Without essential winter clothing to keep warm, millions of people are at risk of ill health and even death. Those most vulnerable are faced with the ultimatum to either go hungry or suffer through the freezing cold conditions without essential resources. The children and widows already suffering through each day are the ones that are faced with the worst of these winter conditions.
A $50 donation will provide enough coal for a family to stay warm this Afghan winter.
A donation of $100 will provide those most in need with warm clothing, blankets and winter essentials.
You can also make a general donation of your choosing. All funds will go towards providing a safer and warmer winter to struggling Afghan families.
Families from the Kuran and Munjan districts of Afghanistan were recently forced to flee their homes to escape Taliban attack. Many people were critically injured, with some losing their lives. There are now over 300 refugee families living within a camp, in a remote region of Panjshir Province. These families are without food and clean drinking water, living in unfurnished tents.
Temperatures in Panjshir Province can drop to -15 degrees in the winter, with more than 13 days of snowfall per month. These harsh conditions will make life even more difficult for these refugees, who have nothing but tents to shelter themselves from the snow.
These refugee families are in desperate need of basic supplies such as food, warm clothing, medication, coal and safe drinking water. If you wish to help these families, you can do so by donating. Your donations will help provide these men, women and children with the supplies they need to survive the winter.
Through your donations, you will be providing not only warmth, but a sense of hope to those suffering this Afghan winter.
