The first day of Eid in Kabul was a great success, hundreds of sheep were waiting to be sacrificed in the garden of the Hope House.

Mahboba’s Promise Afghanistan prepared for the first day of Qurban in Kabul, fitting out large tents with equipment and arranging more than five butchers to conduct the Qurban program.

The Qurban program began at 9:00am, with Sidiq Rawi (CEO of Mahboba’s Promise Afghanistan), thanking all the donors for sponsoring Qurban for the needy families, wishing them a peaceful life.  

The event started well and continued through to the evening. All widows were contacted the day before Eid to come to the Hope House and receive their Qurban meat. Neighbours and community members also came to our program and received some fresh Qurban meat. 

Thank you for your generous Qurban donations, they have provided nutritious meat to thousands of needy and vulnerable widows, children and community members in Kabul.
