Help resettle our New Afghan Arrivals into Australia by giving them a bright future

For legal reasons we cannot show photos of the new arrivals
As our new arrivals continue to land on our shores, we will keep our promise to care for them by welcoming them with open arms to their new home. With your continued support we will be able to provide them with new hope and with the secure, happy and healthy future that everyone deserves.
As our new arrivals seek to rebuild their lives and navigate language barriers here, Mahboba’s Promise will provide the housing, education, community connection,
social, psychological and physical health support and care required to ensure a
healthy, sustainable and empowering transition.
Help resettle our New Afghan Arrivals into Australia by giving them new hope in their new homeland
We feel blessed and fortunate that some of our orphans and staff from Afghanistan have been possible and that they have had the chance to escape the conflict and current life-threatening conditions the Afghan community continues to endure. As we welcome them into our country with warm hearts and open arms, we have the responsibility to implement a meaningful plan to care for them practically, physically, socially and mentally.

The orphans, widows and staff will inevitably carry the scars of conflict and the trauma of their harrowing journey: a hasty exit to Australia, having fled in traumatic circumstances, separated from the only home they have ever known with very few belongings – something no human being have to endure.
Their emergency exit and isolation during quarantine will have an effect on their mental health and wellbeing. Our priority is to support our new Afghan arrivals with social, medical and practical support as a first step towards their successful transition into Australia.

URGENT : Panjshir Valley Humanitarian Crisis
Afghanistan’s Panjshir valley is in crisis. Families are trapped inside the narrow valley without enough food or medical supplies, and cut off from the outside world as the conflict in the region continues.
As we continue to do what we can on the ground we are making an appeal for international intervention from global NGO’s to assist us reach more people in need of our help.
We can’t do this alone.
We need your help.

We have activated our response in Panshjir valley after the devastating news of the attack on September 5th. We are supplying food and basic needs to a community of over 1,000 people that we look after in this region. This number continues to grow.
We are currently supporting 900+ displaced families who have set up in the camp outside Kabul close to our orphanage. We are on the ground, providing emergency shelter, food and water parcels, medical and hygiene essentials, water tanks, clothing and other emergency items.
We are actively relocating families, widows and children to safer regions and providing safe passage for some to return to extended family in their hometowns.
Our Hope Houses continue to provide refuge and safety to ensure our orphans are protected and out of harm’s way.
There are many still in imminent danger and in need of our immediate assistance. The situation is volatile and changes daily. Our response is dynamic as we react to people’s needs as every day unfolds.
We urgently need your help to scale up our supplies, resources, manpower, security and transport as the situation worsens.
